Second brew

With the first attempt there was a ton of beginner’s luck involved. During the process of brewing the second batch that luck wasn’t as present. The tools were better though, so I was a bit more in controll of the process. Flatcap was intended to be a northern brown ale, similar to Newcastle Brown Ale….

About our first brew

Back in February 2016 we decided to attempt to brew some beer. Being a cheapskate I aimed to keep investments as low as possible, but still ended up buying stuff for about 1000 SEK.

Barbatum Home Brewery beer #1 is called Svingeln EKG after the neighbourhood where I live and the hop variety East Kent Goldings.
